These hand carved sticks are 12 to 18 inches long and have Native American faces carved in them.

In the days of old, Talking Sicks were used in group meetings, usually during a disagreement. The Chief would delegate the meeting. Whom ever held the stick could speak. All others must remain silent until the stick was passed to him or her.

The Talking Stick was also used to teach listening and speaking skills to the tribes children.
